Shutdown Glitch Workaround

You see 'cannot shutdown or restart a locked virtual machine'

end the process 'login.scr', and then it will shutdown fine.

Sizing a saved remote desktop window to make scroll bars not appear

  1. Save the remote desktop connection to a file.
  2. Edit the remote desktop connection file with Notepad.
  3. Find the width and height of the full size remote desktop, to do this find the values of desktopwidth and desktopheight
  4. Choose some bigger versions of those number, too big is fine, so just add 200 pixels to each
  5. Use those bigger values as the last two values for winposstr
  6. Now if you use that remote desktop connection file the window will be stretch wide enough not to show scrollbars
  7. See below for a real example
screen mode id:i:1 desktopwidth:i:1152 desktopheight:i:864 session bpp:i:32 winposstr:s:0,1,0,0,1300,900 compression:i:1 keyboardhook:i:1 displayconnectionbar:i:1 disable wallpaper:i:0 disable full window drag:i:0 allow desktop composition:i:1 allow font smoothing:i:1 disable menu anims:i:0 disable themes:i:0 disable cursor setting:i:0 bitmapcachepersistenable:i:1 full address:s:petritis4 audiomode:i:2 redirectprinters:i:0 redirectcomports:i:0 redirectsmartcards:i:1 redirectclipboard:i:1 redirectposdevices:i:0 autoreconnection enabled:i:1 authentication level:i:2 prompt for credentials:i:0 negotiate security layer:i:1 remoteapplicationmode:i:0 alternate shell:s: shell working directory:s: gatewayhostname:s: gatewayusagemethod:i:4 gatewaycredentialssource:i:4 gatewayprofileusagemethod:i:0 promptcredentialonce:i:1 drivestoredirect:s:
